Led by Dr. Juan Carlos Avellaneda—an expert otolaryngologist and laryngologist—our practice specializes in customized voice modification surgeries, laryngeal diseases, and voice disorder treatments. Dr. Avellaneda brings international expertise as a member of the Colombian Association of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ACORL), the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), the European Laryngological Society, and the Laryngological Society of Australasia.

Dr. Juan Carlos Avellaneda H. MD, Otolaryngologist and Laryngologist
- Dr. Juan Carlos is a medical graduate from the University of the Andes, Colombia.
- He has further completed his specialization in otolaryngology from the University of Rosario, where he practiced the medical management of the head and neck, particularly the voice tract.
- He completed a two-year laryngology fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand, under the mentorship of world-renowned otolaryngologists Dr. David Vokes and Dr. Jacqueline.
- Holds over 10 years of professional experience serving at several prestigious hospitals, including the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans, the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada and Guy’s Hospital in London

Lida Pulido, our esteemed business manager, is the heart of our clinic. She is a registered nurse and an accomplished business administrator. She works one-on-one with clients, ensuring their healthcare needs are catered to with exceptional attention to detail.
Vanessa is a speech and language therapist (SLT) graduate of the University of Rosario. She has also completed a specialization in Voice from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo. She works with singers, actors, professional accountants, and teachers to find the right voice for them.

We begin with a consultation session, either live at our offices or remotely, to understand your goals and devise a personalized treatment plan. All procedures are performed entirely in-house whether at the doctor’s office or at our trusted Clinica Avellaneda specialized surgical rooms—using our extensive medical technology and infrastructure.
